How to Install Thumb Ledge X300U-A
- Remove the three screws of the Rail Guide on the support-hand side of your SUREFIRE X300U-A, X300T-A, or X300V-A.
- Replace the Rail Guide with the Thumb Ledge.
- Place the thumb of your support hand on the Thumb Ledge for grip during shooting.
Tip: The rail grooves are intentionally tight to prevent rattling. If installation is too difficult, file the grooves slightly for a perfect fit. File incrementally and test frequently.
How to Install Thumb Ledge X300U-B
- Continue turning the T-slot thumbscrew until the clamp comes off. You do not need to remove the T-slot thumbscrew completely.
- Once the clamp is disengaged, for right-handed users, insert the right-handed Thumb Ledge and tighten the T-slot thumbscrew to secure it. For left-handed users, start by threading the spring. Then, insert the left-handed Thumb Ledge, reattach the removed clamp, and tighten the T-slot thumbscrew to complete the installation.
- Once installed, grip the handgun with your support hand’s thumb resting on the Thumb Ledge when shooting.
Tip: You may experience some resistance when removing and installing the clamp, but slightly angling it can help. Be very careful not to damage the threads. Excessive force can lead to damage, so proceed with care.
